Aqua Design Amano Temporarily Closes Nature Aquarium Gallery

News has been released on the Aqua Design Amano website that they will be closing the Nature Aquarium Gallery temporarily. It was stated that no damage has been done to the gallery, aquariums, or the staff, from the earthquake and tsunami tragedy, other than a few drops of water from the aquariums that was felt by the earthquake. Due to the damaged power supply in those areas affected by the earthquake and tsunami, cities are being limited on the amount of power they can use in order to share with those cities who have none. As result, the Nature Aquarium Gallery will be temporarily closed for a while until the affected areas are recovered.

Aqua Design Amano Launches New Logo

Takashi Amano and the Aqua Design Amano team has released a new logo for the freshwater planted aquarium product company. In efforts to minimize counterfeiting of their products, the new logo will replace the old one and will be seen on new ADA packaging within the coming months. The counterfeiting of ADA products has caused issues for the company and by moving forward and creating a new logo should help resolved further issues.

Despite those who dare attempt to replicate ADA products and resell them as if they were the original product(s), it is to show that ADA produces quality products that are truly valuable and that there is a demand for them. However, will the new logo fix the problem? Or will these companies continue to counterfeit and use the same new logo as well?

Aquarium Design Group implements new Buyer Reward Program

I was given a press release from Aquarium Design Group that details the new buyer reward program they are implementing for their customers. Details are given below.

Houston, Tx, 03/04/2011 – As part of new plans for 2011 to re-innovate Aqua Design Amano product offerings in the United States, Aquarium Design Group (ADG) has implemented a new buyer reward program that is automatically applied to all ADGShop.com buyers.

This new program instantly adds and accrues points to customers and clients of ADA through ADGShop for money spent on product as a way to reward those who choose Aqua Design Amano products. Whether a customer purchases a bag of AP-1 Fish Food or a complete ADA 120-P Aquarium setup, they are rewarded for their loyalty, patronage and appreciation.

The basic premise of the system works in the following formula:

  • Every dollar in product spent results in one point earned.
  • Per 20 points accrued, the customer receives 1 dollar worth of store credit on their account (or 5 dollars back per $100).
  • There is no minimum point requirement for redemption. This can be applied at any time by the customer.

The new Buyer Reward Program is effective immediately on all purchases, and while the system is brand new to ADGShop and ADA offerings, it allows for much greater integration and development as time progresses. This enables possibilities such as:

  • Bonus Points awarded for special purchases
  • Pre-Order Bonuses
  • Double Point weekends

When you make a purchase, you can check the amount of points accrued by your account at ADGShop.com by simply clicking on “My Account” then under “Other Features” select “My Rewards”

Your accrued Rewards will then show and you can Redeem these at any time to apply to your order!

Aquarium Design Group, LLC is the North American distributor for Aqua Design Amano, Co. Ltd products such as Nature Aquarium Goods and Do!Aqua. This offer is exclusive to Aquarium Design Group /ADGShop.com and is not redeemable via other venues in which we have no affiliation. The Aquatic Gardener Journal Vol. 24 No. 1

Are you an AGA member? If so, then you’ve might of already received your copies of The Aquatic Gardener Journal Volume 24 Number 1. I received a package from the Aquatic Gardeners Association today and inside were two copies of The Aquatic Gardener, which is a journal published by the AGA. The Aquatic Gardener journal contains articles on anything planted aquarium related and are written by planted aquarium enthusiasts.

In this TAG Journal Volume 24, Number 1, an article recapping the events of the AGA 2010 Convention was written by Dustin Wunderlich and to complement his article are photos which were taken by me. I have also written my own article recapping my experience at the convention as well, check it out! It has been almost four months since the AGA convention and by reading through this article and looking at the photos, I cannot wait until the next convention.

Hope you enjoy reading through the TAG Journal and looking through the photos. If you are not an AGA member, I highly recommend that you become one. You will get to learn a lot about planted aquariums, meet planted aquarium enthusiasts, and have fun with the planted aquarium hobby. You can become a member by visiting the Aquatic Gardeners Association website.
